Think: the Lola Stein Institute Journal (also known as Think Magazine) is a semi-annual publication with articles on integrated Jewish education, critical themes on raising children today and the interactions of school and community. We have published several special collections that highlight past THINK articles.

THINK Abraham Joshua Heschel

This special collection focuses on Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel and his imprint on The Toronto Heschel School. The magazine takes us back to the school's beginnings and shows how Rabbi Heschel has continued to inspire and guide the school and its vision for Jewish education. 

THINK Learning Through the Visual Arts

This special collection was designed in honour of Morah Judith Leitner. As one of our school’s co-founders she has been a visionary leader to us all these past 25 years. To celebrate and honour Judy, we’ve collected images and articles that portray what learning through the visual arts means at The Toronto Heschel School.

THINK Awe and Wonder

This special collection presents a sampling of Awe and Wonder which has been a core feature of THINK since 2008. The column is written by Dr. Greg Beiles, Head of The Toronto Heschel School and Director of The Lola Stein Institute. Awe and Wonder serves as the place where Moreh Greg shares and explains his unique integration of educational theory and practice. It sheds light on why the school he leads continues to blossom.
