Teacher Symposium - September 1, 2009
The Lola Stein Symposium took place on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 with a Keynote Address by Howard Gardner: Excellence in Education.
On the first day, Dr. Gardner spoke to a full house of exceptional educators, students, and distinguished guests on the issue of what it means to produce excellent and ethical work in today's fast-changing world.
On the following day, September 2, educators from private and public schools from across Canada and the US participated in a full Day of Professional Enhancement Workshops. Greeted with a welcoming address: Inspired Teaching and Curriculum Design, given by Gail Baker, Director of The Lola Stein Institute, participants spent the day attending Food For Thought workshops of their choice. The day came to a conclusion with an inspirational address by Gail Baker: Looking at a New Year.
