The Teaching Excellence Contest (The Contest) is The Lola Stein Institute and The Toronto Heschel School combined. A Contestant is the individual who submits an entry to The Contest for adjudication.
Each submission to The Contest confirms that the Contestant is the author/ creator of the submission; that he/she grants and is authorized to grant a copyright license for print and web reproduction and publication of the submission to The Contest, which authorization encompasses the submission, its supporting documents and images. The Contestant guarantees that all underlying rights and permissions needed to reproduce and publish the submission, its supporting documents and images are included in this license and permission and agrees to indemnify The Contest from claims otherwise. This license is valid the world over for fifty years and is given in consideration for the opportunity to win the prizes.
By entering the Contest, the Contestant grants permission to The Lola Stein Institute and The Toronto Heschel School to publish all or part of the submission, to use the Contestant’s name and photograph and to publicize the selected or winning entries and names of the authors/ creators without royalty or other consideration.
Each submission which meets the requirements set by this Contest will be assessed on merit and skill, as well as creativity, originality and thought. Each submission will be assessed first by jurors designated by The Lola Stein Institute and The Toronto Heschel School and a selection of finalist submissions will be given for review by the panel of experts for final prizes. The Contestant will not contact any of the designated jurors or panel of experts by any means and doing so will result in immediate disqualification.
